Going into Detail and Strengthening Your Foundation

This workshop is designed for all beadmakers at every level who would like to improve their beadmaking skills. If you have questions or difficulties with your beadmaking techniques, then this is a great workshop for you! A broad spectrum of techniques will be explained and demonstrated: yes-dots!, manipulating stringers, clear casing, working large beads, various surface decorations, and trouble shooting common mistakes and difficulties.
Kristina Logan, known as the “Dot Queen”, will carefully describe how she works at the torch. She will help you improve your own beadmaking skills by helping you develop hand-eye control, spacing, and overall flame control when applying glass to your beads. Kristina has helped many students improve the quality of their beadmaking and overall beadmaking skills throughout her 20 years of teaching.
Skill – Only basic beadmaking experience is necessary. Beginners to intermediate students welcome.
Master Class. Dots, Precision and Forms

This workshop is designed for people who would like to expand upon their flamework beadmaking skills. Kristina will not only demonstrate how she works at the torch, but she will also speak about her philosophy around the work that she creates. This class will include discussions about creating a personal style in your beadmaking.
Students will be encouraged to concentrate on individual projects, ask questions, and work towards defining their own specific style.
It is Kristina’s goal to have each student develop a deeper understanding of glass beadmaking through working on the next level of their own work.
Kristina will also demonstrate how she lines the inside of her beads with sterling silver and how students can do the same with their own beads.
Skill – Students will be expected to have a good foundation in the basics of beadmaking prior to class.

No mater what level class she is teaching, Kristina truly loves sharing her knowledge with others. Her 20 years of making glass beads and teaching beadmaking enable her to challenge and inform beadmakers at any level. Kristina concentrates on each student’s individual needs in order to help them move forward in their own beadmaking.
